(to paraphrase the Liverpool four)All of Kirsten's family in town for a big family birthday celebration led to two Memorial Day weekend garden parties and lots of leftovers. And then last night a trip to Baltimore for little Erik's first ball game. As you can see, he didn't leave much for Daddy to finish!

Not to be a fusspot, but since you quoted one of my favorite songs, I need to step in. "Stuck in the middle with you" is a hot 1973 Stealer’s Wheel song marking the end of the Nixon era? “‘Cause I don’t think that I can take anymore. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you!
This is the year when the Paris Agreement was signed; when Spiro Agnew resigned; when Nixon agreed to turn over the tapes; when Liddy and McCord were convicted of Watergate break-in; and when the Washington Post won the Pulitzer for the Watergate investigative series. And the Steeler's Wheel song encapsulates all that. Nothing to do with the Fab Four.
I was 15 years old. Obsessed with politics and music and an avid follower of the Nixon era and the anti war movement. This song says it all.
And the song is not to be confused with the 2002 film "Reservoir Dogs", which used the sound track of the song for a torture scene. But that's a whole other story....
